6 of The Craziest Bloody Marys You’ll Find in WNY

When in Buffalo, sometimes you just want to eat large (amirite?). Luckily, we certainly don’t fall short when it comes to our fave brunch drink. There are some wildly outrageous bloodies that live right here in the Queen City- and we’re about to uncover them, so pull up a chair (seriously, these things are a meal and a half). TBH if you’re not doing a bloody mary like these places, you’re doing it all wrong.

Here are some of the craziest Bloody Mary’s in WNY:

1. Cask + Cow

840 Center St, Lewiston, NY 14092 / WEBSITE

This hip Lewiston restobar specializes in juicy gourmet burgers, so why not throw it on the most iconic cocktail of all time? Cask + Cow’s bloody is decked out to the max with a cheeseburger slider, bacon, lemon and lime slices, and green olives.

2. Cole’s

1104 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14222 / WEBSITE

On their Sunday Brunch menu, you’ll find a section titled “Bloody Pints”- that’s right, 16 oz. of pure bloody goodness. They’ve got 12 (!!) different bloody flavors, including a Buffalo bloody with Frank’s and bleu cheese and a chipotle bacon bloody with a spicy kick.

3. Hot Mama’s Canteen

12 Military Rd, Buffalo, NY 14207 / WEBSITE

If you’re a wimp when it comes to spicy foods, we advise staying away from a bloody (and probably most things) here. Headstone Heat Hot Sauce and habanero sea salt are key ingredients in Hot Mama’s bloody, garnished with their popular “Fire Pickle” wrapped in capicola, an olive, and a lemon.

4. JJ’s Casa di Pizza

11 E Mohawk St, Buffalo, NY 14203 / WEBSITE

Don’t expect a celery stick on your bloody mary this time but instead, a greasy slice of pizza (*with the only kind of pepperoni we know- cup and char) drooping over the edges of your glass. It’s available daily with the pizza slice, but on Sundays from noon until the bar dies down, they’re only $5! We repeat: $5. For an entire meal.

5. Rusty Nickel Brewing Company

4350 Seneca St., West Seneca, NY 14224 / WEBSITE

Whether you try their original bloody mary, Let’s Taco Bout Mary or Mary Mango Hoptrot, you’re guaranteed a pile of crazy good garnishes- possibly a Ru’s pierogi or a mango chunk. And to top it off, they’ll toss on a GetLinked smoked sausage that pairs perfectly with a bloody. And yes, they’ve been known to kill it at the Buffalo Bloody Mary Fest.

6. Sidelines

189 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY 14202 / WEBSITE

With a make-your-own bloody mary bar like Sidelines, there are literally no boundaries. You might just end up with a pierogi or a whole chicken finger on your bloody. We’re not complaining either way.
